Just today I waxed my truck, I first used the Meguiars Deep Crystal Paint Cleaner, then Meguiars Deep Crystal Polish. I then moved on to Meguiras new NXT Polymer Wax. I applied each product with the Porter Cable Dual Action Polisher. I applied two thin coats of NXT, I waited an hour before the second coat I spent a little more time buffing the second coat in allowing the product to break down a little more and there was a noticeable difference when I added the second coat.

The paint was not taken care of at the dealer, there were swirl marks and water spots all over the truck. The water spots are gone and the swirl marks have been greatly reduced.

I am VERY happy with the results, NXT wil be replacing my meguiars #26. NXT is very easy to apply and even easier to remove. Smells kind of good to. Not to sure on the durability yet but I would think its better than Meguiars #26.

Before photos Not the best photos, but I had to take them in the garage.

I'm glad to see these. I'm waiting for my order to come in. I'm planning on using the same method, and I also got the NXT quick detailer spray. I'll post some pics after I'm done.

carrera79.... Let us know how the quick wax works, I didn't order any but I think I might. You will like the wax it was easy to use smells good too.

You might know this already but don't use any NXT quick wax or Meguiars Quick Detailer right after you are done waxing with NXY. From what I understand the wax needs some time to setup 24 hours or something like that.

I use to use Meguiars Quick Detailer right after I was done waxing to give the paint one final clean but I have heard some say you should not with NXT so I didn't.

Good luck! Lets see it when you are done and let us know what you think about NXT.

I got a chance to try out the NXT last night. I prepped with Deep Crystal Paint Cleaner and then the Deep Crystal Polish. I then used to NXT and left it on for 20 min. It was okay to take off, but not great and the shine was good, but not up to Gold Class after the first coat. On the second coat I just did about 3/4s of the hood for comparison. this time becasue of the temp in my garage I left it on for half an hour. WOW, it was so easy to take off and the shine was awesome. I think that I might not have given it enough time to set up in the cold temp on the first coat. I'm also sure that the second coat helps with the shine. I'm extremely happy with this wax, and I'm excited to see if it lasts longer than Gold Class which has been a little dissappointing in its staying power. I'll post pictures when I can get it out of the garage.

Keep me posted on the durabilty. For now, I think the best bang-for-the-buck is Duragloss. You can find it at Carquest Auto Parts stores for around $6 / bottle. Stuff lasts as long as Zaino, is easy to take off (little residue), and has an awesome shine!

I used to use Gold Class, but it did not have the kinda durability I wanted. Duragloss is easily superior to Gold Class, IMO. Maybe NXT is even better?

I've been a Zaino "deciple" since early 1998, but also ordered a "NXT" kit from Meguiar's.

It will be interesting if it is as long lasting as Zaino, which was absolutely tops in longevity.

One reason to check soemthing else out than Zaino is the fact that their product (i used only Z5) has become very inconsistent. the formulation of Z5 is different about every year and its quality in terms of ease of application abd polish quality is also not to the levels it used to be once. Let's see if Meguiar's is better ... it's cheaper that's for sure ...
