Just our luck

Man that sucks. Got a pic of the ding? If the paint is undamaged a PDR guy can fix it in a few minutes for $75-150.

Like I told my friend Javier the other night, the only way to keep your cars mint is to park them in the garage and never drive them. He was upset because he dinged a wheel on his new truck on a curb the other day.

I see you fix it already 👍

moral of the story: that's what happens when you put so much attention to detail on your cars, you are noticing on them, everything; on the other hand, when you don't care as much, even something bad happens to cars, it does not hurt much 😁

Just washed and reapplied Sonax BSD, here are some pictures after the paint less dent removal. Looks new!

Here is a “before” video of the dent. Sorry if it’s grainy. Looked fine before I uploaded to YT.

Just accept the fact that **** happens.

Bought a new car once and a month later I have a HUGE door ding on passenger door.

How are you going to handle the psychological impact of knowing that the dent was there and that your pristine virgin panel is no longer perfect and untouched????

Probably should shoot some rustproofing oil on the inner side just in case the PDR guy scratched the electro coat up a bit.

Did he do it from the window opening or did he have to drill a hole or two?

I didn't think of that.

He did it through the window opening. I rolled the window down and he was able to use the tool between the glass and outer door skin.

The new Jetta we bought to replaced the previous Jetta in an accident just got door dinged today. I swear this stuff NEVER happened on any car we have owned since we started driving nearly 15 years ago. Must be a string of "bad luck". I contacted a PDR company to see what they say. The car hasn't been anywhere other than my wifes work. She parks next to coworkers so I can only assume that is what happened. It's pretty crappy that they said nothing. I'd love to know who it was so I can slap them with the PDR bill.

Insignificant, I know. A dent on a brand new car just stings, especially after replacing the last NEW one due to an accident.

Such is life!

You do realize the rest of us acquire dings and chips? Respectfully-your not special.

I got rear ended today because I stopped at a red light with a no turn on red sign.

Minor damage, but will require a new taillight. Ugh.

Sorry to hear this OP. I feel your pain.
