Just moved. Tips on finding a good independent repair shop?

I look for a combination of good reviews (Google or Yelp, but easy to be faked), busy shop (waiting a week for an appointment is good), and no service advisors (prefer to interact with the mechanic directly).

Have found two or three local shops this way and always been happy with their work.
