I've seen special USPS deliveries on Sundays. Stuff like Express Mail or package deliveries to maybe one or two homes in the neighborhood. However, this week I saw a routine delivery on a Sunday. A neighbor asked the carrier what was going on, and apparently they had orders to work overtime last weekend. I can take a wild guess as to why.
