I will like it. I am pretty much working 6 days a week until further notice so I enjoy any days off.

I put in for the 5th off as well. It is nice to have holidays fall on Friday, or Monday. But I'll take it.

I work for the Feds and only get Wed off, but it's a natural bonus day for those scheduling leave adjacent to the 4th.

I agree with you. I work in local government. People say we have it made or whatever. I worked from January to June with no vacation time taken, and I worked most holidays, and many weekends.
I have been dog tired working 55-60 hours per week.

I never forget.. heck it's my birthday
. I'm only taking off the 4th this year which isn't typical. Saving up hours for a oversees trip.
