First start after total rebuild. I bought this engine for scrap and had been left out in the weather for 20 years. Now Jimmie has to go back to work powering my 375 CFM compressor.
It was in nasty shape, seized solid. All pistons, liners, valves, and bearings had to be replaced. There was some minor water damage to the crank, but was able to polish it out. Looks like the engine was a low hour rebuild before it was taken out of service in 2000. Was last rebuilt in 1993 by Cullen Detroit in Vancouver BC.
Yes, for the test I did not run the turbo as I still have to fab an adapter for it. I won't know how it's going to sit until the engine is in the compressor chassis.
