Nice looking WJ, I have an 02 laredo with the 4.7.

change the fluids and do the maintenance and they run forever.

Only tip I would give you, is run the stock champ copper plugs.

also change the PS fluid if the owner has never done so.

The only other week link is the accumulator plate on the valve body, when you change the transmission fluid you might want to drop the valve body and at very least change the plate and put loctite on the bolts so they dont back out.

Very nice Jeep! My dad had a '99 Limited with the 4.7L V8. I miss that Jeep. Very comfortable, very reliable, and a true workhorse. He sold it with 180k on it and it still got 20mpg on the highway. It hit 24mpg on a few highway trips. Not bad considering his new GC with the 5.7 Hemi shuts off 4 cylinders on the highway and barely gets 20 mpg.

Those maintenance records are awesome. Maintenance is everything with Jeeps. A little preventative maintenance can make them last for years.
