My supervisor just picked up a 1998 Jaguar XJ6, with the 4.0 straight six, and the first thing I asked was to see his owner's manual!
They recommend 16,000km (10k) oil changes, with no severe service schedule (they say to consult your dealer for advice)
The interesting thing was the listing of viscosities you could use. They list almost every viscosity out there! They recommend 10w30, but also say you could use 5w20 when it's below -10C. Above 0C you can use almost any oil you want, they list 5w30, 5w40, 5w50, 10w30, 10w40, 10w50, 10w60, 15w40, 15w50, 20w40 and 20w50. Very interesting stuff.
The engine holds 8.5 quarts of oil too, which is going to make it an expensive oil change for him, especially since he has an aftermarket warranty which requires 3000 mile/3mo oil changes, and no do it yourself is allowed (this is the same warranty I had on my Firebird, but only followed it for a short time since I wanted to do my own changes)
