Jaguar 100% Electric by 2025

There is absolutely no question at this point that newer does not mean better. We understood chassis dynamics very well 20 years ago. If were were trying to use the example of a live axle Mustang, vs today, I'd simply say that today's Mustang chassis technology was available and in common use by Ford back then.

But if we go to more "professional" vehicles, plenty of cars were available with superbly rigid chassis, well engineered 4 wheel double A-arm suspension, adequate brakes and capable, fire breathing powerplants. The lap times on road courses prove that. It's not a surprise that older Camaro's and Corvette's turn sub 3 minute lap times at VIR. Something many of today's affordable cars often can't do.

your f-type is sitting on a 22 year old platform. everything JLR does is focused on land rover, zero effort is being put into the jaguar lineup.

all of the talent left a long time ago. they were making very competitive vehicles in the early 2000s and now they are bottom of the barrel

You don't know what you are talking about.

The original double wishbone w/coil springs and anti-roll bars all around chassis design was not exactly revolutionary but was and is a proven design. Jaguar coupled that with a new and lighter aluminum front subframe that was developed during the C-X16 concept car around 2010 or 2011. That stiffened up the front end by 30% and improved the integrity of the suspension geometry.

In 2016 they started shipping the AWD versions with Jaguar's Intelligent Driveline Dynamics which connected the engine, transmission rear differential and center coupling which could vary the front/rear torque split as needed.

I'd hardly call the current model F Type R a 22 year old platform. Nor bottom of the barrel.

it was always ready to accommodate AWD, the changes made are trivial. the XF got it in 2012 lol

JLR are the laziest in the industry when it comes to fixing their product. they had 12 years to do something about the aj133 and they never did 😂😂😂
