I've become a victim of Spot Delivery Scam.

A good life lesson, if you have bad credit, and can't afford something don't buy it. The disturbing part is that the OP should be old enough and smart enough to know better, but he
isn't.

The dealer may be having enough headaches finding financing that they'd be willing to simply forget the deal at this point and give the old car and down payment back. If the OP asks them directly about that option.

Sure. Toyota, Nissan, Subaru, VW, Ford, Chevy, Buick, Mazda,Hyundai off the top of my head. IMHO Honda everything is vastly overrated. They have plenty of issues that are overlooked "because it's a Honda".

With the OP's crummy credit I'd look Hyundai as at least they guarantee the powertrain out to 100k which none of the above mentioned brands will do. That will give him a little bit of security.

When I had a 630 cr. score I held on to my 11 yr old 175k mile Altima for 2 years until I got my score past 750 and could get a $5k/3%/48mo CU loan on a $7k car with $2k down....my score since buying Kitacam has risen to 800 and the loan is paid off (sorta/kinda....the last year's payments are in the CU on auto pay....). Just an example of one way it's done...I could buy new now for 0%, but I'm liking not having payments...so long as this appliance remains reliable.

SkyActiv-G's car is a 2014 Mazda 3 hatch, with the 2.0 engine, isn't it?
Technically, it is probably still under warranty.

Then again, looking at his post history, he indicated on 9/23/2014 that he had 15k miles on the car already, when he was all [censored] off about rust issues with his factory welds, though he never produced any pictures of said rust, nor said which welds, and where on the vehicle they were located. He said he was ready to junk it back then, and it only had 15k miles on it.

So, anyway, this is just his knee jerk reaction thread after finally trying to buy a car to replace this one that he was ready to junk.

He then made several threads disparaging Subaru on many different levels, so I guess Honda won out over Toyota for his future car.

He's, unfortunately, unable to easily buy it.
That's this year's life lesson.

Good luck to you, Skyactiv-G.

BC.

Olas, your repeated advice is sound but in this real time situation is pretty much meaningless. The OP has some personal financial issues with that credit score and apparently had to have grandpa co-sign the last car loan. There might be more financial back-story than he cares to share. Hope grandpa doesn't get burned when it all shakes out.

The hardest thing is usually to bear down and fix the credit score and whatever caused it instead of kicking the can down the road again. Too late for that. Good luck OP, let us know how it shakes out please.

If he has financial trouble he should spend less and save more.
No more financial trouble and enough liquid cash saved to buy outright.

Unless for some reason it makes more sense for the poor to pay over the odds, further detrimenting their financial standing.

Wasn't it loans and finance given to the poor that caused the last global economic meltdown? People can be blinded by their own materialism sometimes..

+2.
And on a related note, never drive a financed car off the lot until the financing is accepted by the lender and the process is completed.

That is your answer right there. Return the car. There are other dealerships and better cars than a Honda.

Would you be willing to enlighten us with which cars are better than Hondas, price considering? All cars have strengths and weaknesses.

+1 please enlighten everyone what's better than a Honda? A Toyota? I consider both equal to each other.

+2, Really O'High'N Mighty, what's the best?
Enlighten us, Please. huh, Please.......

For the price of the car&fees&interest on the finance, that much cash would buy an M3, Supra, STI, or a muscle car shell & crate motor.

All better than a Honda

-100. You obviously cannot read as I already did earlier on this page (5).

Sorry if I upset you with "Hondas are not awesome". They are average vehicles.

I read fine. Just read it.
Don't humor yourself. I'm not going to get upset on an internet chat forum.
You are the one who went there and continues to go there degrading the vehicle choices of others.
What was your answer going to be?
The same one it always is?
I would agree that Hondas are average. Just like Toyotas, Subarus, Mazdas, GM's, Fords, etc.
So, what's the best?

Please.... No I'm not hooked. I have one of the transmitters to the trade and it's still on their lot because I can hear the car beeping. I've already spoken to a Lemon Law attorney to get out of this deal. This dealership has so many court cases against it in the court database.
This isn't a Lemon Law issue.

No you can't lemon law a car you don't own yet.

How is it degrading telling the OP to return the car and look elsewhere? It's not as if Honda is the best value for his dollar. That would most likely be a Kia - great warranty and decent quality. He seems to be getting the shaft and it would be best to get your $$ back and walk away. At that point expand your horizons.

Judging by the OP's name sounds like he has a late model Mazda. They are fine cars too. Why the switch to Honda?

Did I strike a nerve with a Honda owner?

Since you know me so well, what is my answer. Come on now you should be able to answer for me.

Here's a few:
http://www.kbb.com/car-news/all-the-latest/best-buy-awards-midsize-car/2000011399/
Kia Optima
http://www.edmunds.com/sedan/buying-guide/#sedan-midsize-pod-anchor
Ford Fusion
http://jalopnik.com/the-best-mid-size-sedan-1692697516
Hyundai Sonata

Like I said, a Hyundai/Kia product may be better for the OP as it has a better warranty than Honda.

Gee, notice how the title of this thread claims that the OP is a "victim"?

That's the mentality you need to remain in poor financial position. Blame someone else.
Your "old" car was newer than my "new" car, by a good 9 years. Guess who doesn't have debt?

OP - you are a victim of your own poor decisions. That's why you get no sympathy here.

(edit - heck your old, old car was 5 years newer than my Saturn) OP - do you see the trend!?! You have a costly A-D-D issue with cars and I'm guessing finance in general.

You are laughable. You need to let at least 60PSI out of your ego.
Yes, I own two Hondas. So what. I own two Fords, also.
Both Hondas were the best value available when I bought them
The '12 I bought year end new and paid less than I could have bought the same car used.
It is an average car. It is a transportation appliance. Hondas are average cars that hold their resale pretty well. I have never portrayed myself as a Honda fanboy. I'm an average guy who drives an average car. I have no reason to be a fanboy. Honda is a good default choice. Maybe you can do better, but you can do worse.
You like Kia. Good for you. Not my can of beans, but to each their own. I'm not going to sit and rip them, however.
I'm gonna guess the OP bought an Accord because he wanted an Accord.
If he wanted a Kia, I'm sure he would have bought one of those.
Just like the posters on this forum who purchase or own Chrysler products did.
