My best WOT interval was in my 1975 Vega. 10 minutes at WOT on US23 coming back from college one time. About 4500 rpm, top speed of 106, slightly slower going up a gentle grade, slightly faster going down a gentle grade. I was satisfied that I got the absolute highest top speed out of it. Didn't hurt it a bit. I concluded it didn't have enough power to hurt itself. Was running Arco Graphite 10w40 in it. Originally bought it for $800. Drove the car until I graduated, then sold it to a friend of mine for $200.
