It appears "CA" for Fram doesn't mean "Cabin"

Consulted the filter lookup guide for my prius and big book said 10159; Looked on the shelf and it only had CA10159 so I figured that was a cabin filter.

Poke around a bit more and reinspected the box and it was in fact an air filter.

$13 and 30 seconds later.

This i believe is an STP air filter; mileage unknown but does it really matter?

There's little if any logic in Fram's p/n system, at least with air filters. The exception could be (1) variation of their cabin air filters that start with "CF", i.e. Cabin Filter.

That cloth thingie and fiberglass insulation on the cabin filter looks like it came off from your car.

We have "lots" of squirrels here. I put 1/2" wire mesh over the air tube fender inlet in all my stuff. One less furry waste thing to worry about.
