I knew exactly where you were going with this when I read the thread title. My Grandpa Don was my hero when I was a kid. He was a trucker and VERY strong, I loved Over the Top when I was a kid because it was very much like a story I could see my grandpa playing a part in.
besides, as kids we don't see these as stories, it's reality for us... Maybe that's what's groing up means, realising that your heroes and villains are make believe...
