Is Total/Elf/Fina dropping some synthetic weights?

I have been using synthetic 5W/40 in my Saab 9-5 for quite a while now. Mobil-1, then Elf Excellium NF, and now Total Quartz Energy 9000. A quick visit to the Total Petroleum USA site yesterday reveals they no longer list the Quartz Energy 9000 in this weight. They have 5W/40 with a different name, but it also has far different Manufacturer specification compliances!

Let me see if I can find the chart showing the ELF to Total name changes.

Edit found it.. And currently we are still able to get Quartz 9000 from our distributor. If fact we stock it, as it moves that well.

This is the new Total Product line chart which is devoid of Quartz Energy 9000 in 5W/40 weight. This must be current since some of the material Safety Data Sheets have a Jan 2009 date.
