Is this grease ok for Jeep Wrangler front wheel bearings? I hope so, since my friend just packed my bearings with it!
NLGI #2, GC-LB, Timken OK 55, 550 degrees F, lithium based multi-
purpose, pinkish red grease. That's all I could find on the tub.

Should this grease give ok service?

thanks,

I just went to the Timken web site. According to Timken, any grease with a Timken OK load test value >35 contains EP additives. So I believe it does.

And as I said it is OK

"The automotive industry is in general agreement that the highest performance classification, to date, in each group (LB and GC) is suitable for service relubrication."

For use on both bearings and chassis

Like with most oils brand makes not much diference as long as it meets whatever applys spec as in GC-LB or API AM in a PCMO's case
