You'll be able to smell this tire from 30 feet away, and the scent will last for about one year. Also, they are claiming 8% better wear and 5% better braking because of the lavender molecules used.
What's the marketing behind this? Are females buying most of the tires these days? Is this their answer for road rage?

Really? Well, it takes different features to attract "different" people. Personally, the way a tire smells is probably the last thing on my priority list when shopping for tires. The increased braking and tread wear may be a factor but not the smell, besides, lavender is a girly scent anyhow. I want a whiskey smell to my tires.
