Keep in mind that Hyundai makes a few different 4-cylinder engines, and they do get updated once in a while.
For example, the Sonata 2.4L i4 engine was updated for 2009 model year.
Not only did it finally get VVT, but here is a spec from the Horse's mouth (or hmaservice web site):
2008 i4 Crankshaft bearing Oil clearance 0.026 ~ 0.048 mm
2009 i4 Crankshaft bearing Oil clearance 0.020 ~ 0.038 mm
I don't know if that makes any significant difference for the engine oil spec, but there it is.
