Is anyone here using Canadian Tire's Synthetic?

Ooops, just saw it. Interesting, since the other day I walked in to the Can. Tire on Dundas and 403 and asked...they told me the oils were made by "Imperial Oil".

Makes sense since this wasn't even Esso until recent. Secondly, on the shelf, there are Shell products, but no Esso/Imperial oil products at all. eg. Rotella 15-40, Snowmobile oil, etc.. Why would they provide both their name brand and then re-badged product at 1/2 the price? I think that's what the email was referring to: "We sell Shell products at Can. Tire, but the Formula 1 is not as good as our oils". Did you get PDS's?

Hmmm, after reading what that Shell representive said, I'm not so sure I want to use it in my mom's car. Maybe I'll just stick with SuperSyn in her car (but switch to 5w30 now instead of 10w30 because of her short trips)

i'm sure it'll be fine for 5000 km intervals.
