Irving Oil ‘might’ be up for sale…

Might come to nothing, but the Canadian oil firm Irving Oil is completing a ‘strategic review’ that may or may not involve the partial or whole sale of the company.
Difficult to believe that with just how hard they worked to build it up, the Irving family would even muse about a sale…interesting time in this industry!

With the war on non renewable hydrocarbon energy, a dispassionate owner might want to bail out.

Irving is my heating oil and propane supplier, and I buy a lot of my gasoline and diesel from their stations here in northern New England.

Looked at their website; impressive. Major operation, broad product line. One of the largest privately owned conglomerates in NA.

I wonder if their cozy middle East oil supply arrangement has become less so.
They had zero interest in bringing Alberta oil to their refineries, preferring off shore supplies.
