Seems walmart does not carry or has phased out prestone green. Now, they carry a "mixes with all colors" yellow bottle prestone. The bottle itself says "extended life, up to 5/150,000", and the color of the coolant in the picture up front looks like dexcool?

Is the prestone in the yellow bottle the same thing as the dexcool stuff from them in the silver bottle (ingredient list seems to confirm this)? Sure seems so. Is prestone green now a thing of the past?

Just an FWI, the Supertech coolant is made by prestone. Perhaps this is a good alternative for those wanting the old green Prestone.

Most likely it's the exact same liquid in a different bottle...why would they bother with two different mixing plants? I use Fred Meyer's store brand "Mototech" coolant, which on the back recommends using the "Flush 'n' fill kit". I'm guessing prestone makes the green stuff inside if they're advertising prestone products on the bottle...

If the ingredients list contains any silicates at all, then it's not Dex-Cool. It's probably the same as G-05.

If their is no mention of silicates or if it specifically says no silicates then it is a Dex-Cool equivalent.

The ingredients list is the same as the silver dexcool bottle from prestone. It makes me wonder why prestone would bottle the same fluid under the yellow bottle as well. Marketing perhaps to sell the fluid? Are they going to get rid of the silver bottle? The new yellow bottle stuff, I believe, doesn't say dexcool approved (but it does say it's compatible with any and all colors of fluid). Only the silver bottle lists the dex-cool approval.

I also saw this mixture in 50/50 premix. Perhaps I will go back and check to see if thye've restocked any green prestone, or if its gona for good.

Since the stuff isn't even on the prestone website yet, perhaps I'll ask for a copy of the MSDS of the new prestone and post it for y'all.
