Interesting brake problem

The hydroboost is the one thing I really don't like about the Stang. I had my power steering pump go out. Nothing like getting off the highway and finding out at 70mph that I have no power steering or power brakes.
 
I had a work truck, 95ish GMC 1 ton diesel with ABS, that you could idle it and stand on the brake and it'd sink to the floor! Took more pressure than full "lockup" though.

IIRC, there are ABS designs where the pedal sinks almost all the way if you're trying to stop and it's cycling. There were some wrecks when people had their seats too far back and couldn't touch the floor.

It sure sounds like a version of hydraulic assisted brakes.
Usually on trucks.
They have a lousy and vague brake feel, to me.
If it is vacuum assisted, going down all the way shows GREATER engine vacuum and assist.
