Inserts or Entire Blade?

All my most recent vehicles have had the aero blades that would take more disassembly and deconstruction than its worth to replace the inserts so I just replace the entire blades. Not to mention the German makes love to put the fading dot (black to yellow) on the blade itself that recommends you to replace the blades when the dot is full yellow......yet my experience is they still have life left in them when that happens.

All my recent cars (VW and MB) have the pin system where you can swap the blades in 2-3 minutes, usually knock it out real quick in the parking lot at the dealership and dump the old blades and box in the trash can at their place.

I've gone back to the inserts vs buying a whole blade. Much cheaper and works just as good. I bit harder to install but not overwhelming.

Inserts as much as possible.

Except for Valeo, Denso(NWB) and Trico I don't waste my time with aftermarket blades.

Whichever is cheaper as I replace wiper blades/inserts every year.

For my 2011 Odyssey I buy OEM inserts from Amazon/eBay which costs less than $15 for front & rear glasses while for my 2010 Civic I replace blades as inserts are costlier.
