On my 99 Taurus I could "reach" the filter from above, but wasn't allowed to change it. Some bright soul routed an A/C line right over it, so I could touch it with my finger tips, but not enough access to actually remove it. Thank you, Ford.
My 01 Dakota I can remove by reaching over the tire, does that count? Love that torsion bar suspension!
