I'm a little surprised this being a U.S based site......that Connor FailGregor's loss to Holloway hasn't been mentioned. Not a big MMA fan but would love to hear opinions/comments from you folks.

McGregor beat Holloway convincingly in their first fight but he tried a flying kick very early in the fight and injured his knee and he was done. I think he should hang it up. Much respect for Holloway who knew McGregor was hurt and looked at the ref rather than taking advantage of him.

...and the fact that Max agreed to move up to 170.
Connor was clearly on the sauce and his body is more meso.
Max is long and lean, better armed at 155.
Even without the injury cocaine Connor would've been pummeled with Max's volume and tireless cardio.
Stoopid fight for Connor to accept at this point.
He's finished...

Connor is a citizen of Ireland and losing due to injuring one's self isn't exactly a phenomenal win for Hallowell fans to celebrate. Plus, this isn't that popular across the US population despite what fanboys and media might tell you. It's even less than soccer was in the last century. Kid s played it, only foreigners watched it.
The majority of even sports fans in the US wouldn't recognize a fighter's name.
Besides, it's just a ripoff of Thai kickboxing.

Loss? Didn't he make at least $15M ?
His injury eliminated 1 of the 2 fights he was signed to so only has one embarrasment left to go.
How much would I have to pay you to walk down your main drag in Los Gatos WETHTI after freshly soiling your white shorts? You'd have to parambulate and engage people to get your money. Based on your take it wouldn't take much.

Pride>money always.

I still prefer it over what 'boxing' has become....Boxers used to fight several fights a year but now fight so infrequently because the
purses are so big. On top of that a lot of boxing matches are boring these days.

PS: Many people call Ali 'The Greatest' but I believe that several modern boxers would have beaten him....guys like Tyson, Lenox Lewis, the Klitchkos...maybe even Tyson Fury etc...
