GC 0W-30 would be able to handle anything and everything and we have data to support this?

I think it's a case we can't ignore.

Anything from a 4 cylinder to a Corvette ZR-1 to a Ferrari Enzo...it would be the "no brainier" can't loose choice hands down.

One size fits all...

One size never fits all or else BITOG wouldn't exist. If there was only 1 oil then it wouldn't matter anyways because we wouldn't know any better/different.

The fact that you can pour it in any crankcase and run the engine without having it explode immediately doesn't mean it's a one-size-fits-all oil. Just about any engine oil will do that.

GC is unnecessarily thick for most small engines. It's not thick enough for the faster cars if you use them as they're meant to be used (unlike, say, the guy who used GC in his Enzo). It has too high a SAPS level to be used with some of our best emissions control equipment. It's not formulated properly for diesels.

A one-size-fits-all oil would be mediocre at everything. I think it's a lucky thing we don't have one.

Who are you and what have you done with Johnny?

That actually might be my pick, but for now I'll stick with Rotella T6.

I'd probably go with one of these 3 options that we have in Canada due to the almost 1/2 price compared to M1 0w-40:

- Petro Canada Duron 0w-40 or 0w-30
- Esso XD-3 0w-40 or 0w-30
- Shell Rotella T 5w-40 or 0w-40

Please explain to me what a "free flowing" oil is, I'm not familiar with that term :)

I'd definetly vote for M1 0W-40.

0W for excellent cold flow/pump; low 40-weight that shears slightly to cover all viscosity requirements; an add-pack that has moly, boron, lots of calcium and zinc to cover all possible wear situations; can be used in deisel vehicles...yeah, I think that would cover almost everything.
