Yep. Galaxie 500, I think. Somebody's got rid of the side-marker lights, which confuses matters. I learned to drive in a '70 Custom 500, which was the same body.

Not with a 351W. I never managed to get my Dad's 1970-model to peg the speedometer, which maxed at 120. Stupid 17-year-old, that was me. Good thing Daddy never found out.

Ford actually stands for fourth on race day.
After Plymouth, Dodge and Chevy way back when.

What are you smokin' tonight? It might FEEL like you were going 140 mph in that mid '60's steel bucket, but I would bet tomorrows pay check that a stock Ford Galaxy never saw 140 mph.

I identify it as domestics with pride but ugly colouring. We often took good domestic craftsmenship for granted and look how much we were spoiled by classics. Now if you want an old classic you gotta pay huge coin or wonder how to get one on a boat from Cuba.

How come nobody knows how to spell Galaxie? The thread even started out with Galaxie being spelled correctly.

Yes, Galaxie is an odd spelling, but Galaxie is how Ford spelled it.
