Ice just flew out of my vents

2012 Honda Accord. I’m currently sitting in a parking lot waiting on our food to be ready (delicious local food truck that serves Chamorro quiz one). The car has been running for about 45 minutes straight with the A/C on “full blast”. Suddenly I heard a crackling noise then seconds later felt debris land on me. I thought maybe it was foam from the blend doors or a leave that somehow made it past the cabin filter and decomposed before flying out. But no. I looked down and saw small shards of ice on my arm.

I’ve never had this happen before. Does this spell impending doom? (Kidding).

I've seen fog come out of the vents (obviously not in the desert) but never ice crystals.

A freezing evaporator usually means lack of air flow or a low charge. Don’t expect leaks, they normally lose a little refrigerant over the years.

It's not cycling if it has that system. If it's a variable compressor it's stuck on full
It’s not variable. Not sure if it was cycling during this episode or not. From what I recall it’s not uncommon for the compressor to not cycle when under max use.
