Not more of a joke than most books on leadership.

Make it stop... Make it stop...

Whatever you think of Iacocca he got the loans paid back quickly, and had a much more difficult time getting them than GM or Chrysler/Cerberus. Biggest mistake, naming Bob Eaton as his successor. That guy raped the company, then literally and figuratively, got out of Dodge.

It's unfortunate for Chrysler that so many people followed Iaccoca's advice. “If you can find a better car, buy it,”

Amazing on this board how so few even have a clue. In 98 Chrysler had over 12 billion in reserve before Jurgen Schremp and Dumbler Bendzover raided them during the "merger of equals" It wasnt Chrysler management that ran them into the ground, it was Dumbler who raided them and mismanged/stole even more cash and did little to no development. Of course Eaton handed them over to Dumbler and Iaccoca to this day wished he had put Lutz in charge instead of EAton. I am sure he doesnt think too much of Eaton who is a traitor.

Thanks for proving my point. Eaton looked for a partner and approved of the merger with Benz. And, after all was said and Chrysler done, Eaton left with a huge golden parachute, when all he deserved was a golden shower. Amazing how some pretend to a have a clue and rather are clueless themselves. Interesting reading here by a former Chrysler employee.

I wasnt pointing anything about your post, you understand the situation most dont. Just that many have posted here like Chrysler management ran them into the ground on various threads but reality is as we both know, it was German ownership and management that raped them. Oh Eaton didnt look for any partners, just sold out when Jurgen came a knocking.
