I want to delete email addresses in Android

I have an Android tablet, and a Amazon tablet.

When I type an email address I get multiple email addresses for that person, sometimes different email addresses, sometimes only a difference in capitalization, none of them are in Contacts.

How do I delete these extras? I have tried holding my finger over them.

You're talking G-Mail? Usually that flags duplicate addresses for merger. If it is G-Mail, I usually try to edit on my computer since it's easier than a tablet. Your comments indicate you may be referring to some non-Google add-on program. I just checked my Samsung tablet and there's something called e-mail that I've never bothered to set up. I'm not a big fan of anything Samsung because it looks to me like they're trying to set up parallel sets of programs that will trap you into the Samsung universe in perpetuity.

I would say you have to edit contacts. What version android os are you running? OREO?? Also Is this synced to a PC?

Actually I have a Microsoft window 8 mobile software on my phone So I m likely no help.
