I started an Auto-RX cleaning today. I used 10 oz. of Auto-RX. I just used Valvoline 5W-30 oil and a Wix oil filter. The Valvoline was about the cheapest oil I could find at Wal-Mart. It was something like $8-$10 bucks for a 5 quart container.I will drive 1500 miles during the cleaning and then 2000 miles for the rinse. I don't know what kind of oil I will use for the rinse. Maybe Valvoline again since it is only 2000 miles. In the wintertime I plan on using Mobil 1 0W-30 or Mobil 1 5W-30. I wanted to do the cleaning before the wintertime.
