I don't know how I missed this, but this 3 hour race is amazing and has it all. From a miles long drag race at the start, to vintage and two stroke classes to utter mayhem with gaggles of bikes struggling in deep sand. It is worth watching!

Highlights at:
2:28
4:21
7:25 on
11:50 (high speed run)
13:40 chaos

I've been an avid dirt bike rider all of my life, and participated in off road racing as a young man. I liked outdoor motocross tracks/hare scrambles and the longer enduro races when I was in college. But oh man this is next level stuff. I love it.

Click on the link and make it full screen. It's wild! Turn up the sound!!!

The Yamaha 450 seems to be the fastest of the bikes here. Although I've always been a big bore two stroke fan, it is pretty clear these 4 strokes are really the best tool for high speed endurance racing. I am obsessed!

Thanks for posting. Wasn’t aware of this competition either. Watching the leader sucking the air out of the lungs of the other riders as he laps them shows what skill is involved.

A great race video for sure. But for me, nothing touches the Isle of Mann TT.
No question that's another great race! I am captivated by the speed and skill at the Isle of Mann motorcycle race. It is the top motorcycle road race anywhere, ever, in all of history!

Since I'm a dirt bike guy mostly because I never wanted to risk expiring in a high speed fiery crash, and having just discovered this, I can easily imagine myself on the seat of one of those 450's doing this crazy beach race (once I make myself 40+ years younger) Ohhhh yeah!

Put another way, every so often in life something shows up that just fits one's soul perfectly. This is one of those rare things for me that is exactly my idea of fun.

The website says 2700 riders in total! https://en.letouquet.com/2023/11/27/enduropale/

If only I had a fraction of the skill that those guys possessed. I almost spilled my eggnog as I watched the competitors enter the first turn!
Even in my best days I was never faster than middle of the pack. I'd probably be stuck in the sand on turn 53, trying to pull the rear tire out right after stalling it, while that guy on the blue Yamaha laps me. But none of that would matter. It would be my idea of heaven.

My last dirt bike, a KTM 380EXC with a FL tag. Not that it was any good on the street, but legal on fire trails. I did a few mods to get some addl HP. It would always out accelerate a 450 in a pavement drag race. But fell flat up top with a top speed of about 85-89MPH. Not good enough for the race above.

Mmmm, this is my favorite off road race on the planet - the infamous Erzberg Rodeo. Arguably the toughest enduro race on the planet and with some of the most talented riders riders on the planet. I used to love off road riding, but there's no way on earth I'd be able to tackle this gnarly terrain.

Here is an extended highlight clip - action starts at 9 minute mark. There are loads more vids available:
