On my GR86. 4 Quarts Valvoline 5W-30 EP and 1 qt. Mobil 1 20W-50 V-Twin Oil. I will do a UOA every 5KI miles.
The Mobil 1 seems to do a good job.

That is a random UOA. I wanted a quart of to thicken up the 30 wt. just a bit. I wanted to make sure the additives on the MC oil were ok
I wouldn't. I'd look at a thicker 5w30. Mobil 1 ESP is up there at 11.99

Is the 20w50 heavy in zinc? I thought it would be and can’t that harm the catalytic converter?

Would OP be off with Lucas oil stabilizer then a motorcycle oil not formulated for a gasoline car engine?

I thought the 10w30 HDEO was a better idea, but I dont think there is much science going on with these threads.

I have run my entire fleet on 15w-40 with great results. Just ran my Scion 20K+ miles on Delo Syn with a great Blackstone report. I run 15K all the time with Delvac 1300 Syn Blend and it comes shining through. I do commute on the interstate and other than the Alabama heat, I rarely rag the engine. If any oil will go the distance, I have thoroughly shown with my various UOA's that diesel HDEO's are the way to go.

I do agree with what you have said about HDEO's Oils 2 a certain extent. My only question is what is the lowest temperature that you have driven where you live? A thought from experience, next time you are doing a UOA, send 1 sample to Blackstone, and another to whoever Amsoil uses, I think it is OAI or something.
