I have several cases of Texaco Ursa HD sae 30 engine oil that was given to me. I was wondering if I could mix this with some auto oil to use in the summer?
I don't see why not, in an older car where low temp viscosity isn't a huge issue. Free oil is always good if it's a name brand and reasonably applicable.
oil is a precious resource. If there is "old" oil that wasn't used, I would just mix a quart at every oil change with SM oil. I would sleep like a baby at night.

+1 or use it as make up oil, if your car burns oil. Either way it won't hurt a thing.
