No need to apologize for having a follow-up question, IMHO.
To answer someone's reply, if I understand the situation correctly, I think you would want "Post Reply."
Additives that are most popular / proven on this board include Schaeffers, such as their "Moly" or 132 (?) additive, and LC, short for Lube Control. Lucas and very few others as well. Have a look at postings as well as "The story on additives"

Have a look at what Patman and MoleKule have posted recently and not-so-recently to learn what ya can. I hope these links work for you and other newcomers:

Then use the Search function and get to know it, since it may well be that your question has already been posted and answered by someone else.
Hope this helps

I have been replying to my own post with further questions, sorry bout that. How do I answer someones input on my question in my post or properly ask further qestions in one of my posts?
Or do I just go to "new topic"?

Is there an oil additive that will not break down into a damaging chemical like hydrocloric acid?
I hear in posts about oil additive packages, are any of these additives available on market to boost oil at home with an oil change? Additives Like "Molybdenum" is coated on the Nissan 6 cylinders' pistons right from Nissan factory. I question how new

rings seat. If Nissan trust it on new engines I would have to believe they researched it.

Thanks for all the links Rob, I got a lot of reading by the look of it when I get the time. I will probably have more questions after this read.

thanks,

Nissan moly coats their piston skirts on the VQ35DE, actually a square on the area perpendicular to the wrist pin bore. This helps prevent piston scuffing and reduces friction when the piston tilts at the stroke ends (TDC & BDC).

Cylinder liners are a rather conventional iron matrix and the top rings are hardened CrMo steel. The rings have an anti-friction coating on the sides to prevent sticking in the ring lands but the faces are not coated. This allows for routine break-in albeit some folks report slightly extended milage needed on this engine before getting a good, tight, complete cylinder seal.
