I was debating between Premium Plus and Supercar, chose Supercar, and then after more reading, have decided that Premium Plus will better meet my needs. The 6 quarts come in the same box that HPL gave me, all unopened. We can split shipping costs. Please let me know if interested.

I'm new to the world of boutique oil. Someone on here described HPL as developing the best oil unconstrained by cost. The product data sheets are available on their website. Seems very well thought of by users on the site. Is it that much better than Mobil 1? I guess I'm about to find out...

Never heard of the stuff. Looked on their website to see the cost with shipping comes to over $20 a quart. Why is it worth over 4 times as much as Mobil 1?
You’re obviously a guy looking to save a nickel, so why do you get so spendy on Mobil 1? Mobil 5k seems more in line with your normal tastes. Please don’t buy HPL, run it 5k, and then complain that it’s the same as every other oil. Other than being wet, it’s not.

OP if nobody’s PMd you yet I’m interested. PM me.

might as well use it before selling it cheaper than the premium plus?
Selling for 10$/qt makes no sense.. What is the thought process.

being your first day on the board this seems borderline fishy, but I will respond as if you are serious ;)

Agree

Just use the Super Car 0w-20 this time and the Premium Plus next time.

So if M1 is good to 10K, you can run this stuff for 40,000 miles? If it costs four times as much, you should be able to, if the filter can last that long. BITOG members generally like to save money, so spending $20/quart on oil isn't common. Do the users of the oil plan to keep the car to 500,000 miles? Then it might be worth it if it keeps the engine going that long, but I doubt the owner of my 500,000 mile Toyota used it.

Thanks for all the responses. I've gotten enough personal responses that I can consider the items sold.

I’ll agree with you to a point… members like to save money when they’re looking for the cheapest oil that meets their spec, or they come across a deal that looks to good to pass up. However, even the oil geeks have always been limited to oils that have been deemed worthy of mass-consumption, and now that HPL is available as a cost-no-object, specs-no-object, best of the best, well… look out lol.

Will it last 40k? Don’t know, don’t really care to find out, because even just an order of 6 quarts is basically $80 delivered, with $21 of that being shipping. That’s about $12/qt, where Mobil 1 is now right at ~$32 with tax. That’s 2.5 times as much, and if HPL PCMO will make it to 15k OCIs and still have reserve left, there’s a chance it would make it to 25k in your Toyota. Only one way to find out! Dave will hook you up 😎

It's sad that you come to this thread with a negative attitude and nothing useful to contribute. There is plenty of information about HPL on this forum, about their products, and their customer base. If you had any interest in the actual product, you would have looked the information up. But you're not interested. You just want to make your snide remarks and criticize a product you obviously haven't researched and know nothing about. Maybe it would be a better idea to just stay out of this one, don't you think? 🤔

Didn't intend to make you feel sad. What snide remarks or criticism did I say? I just questioned the price and thus the value, compared to M1. It's a free country. You're free to buy it and I'm free to ask about it.

You know, I'm on a board where you come in on a forsake thread and start dumping on it and commenting on prices you end up banned...

It is a good policy.
HAHA, whenever I post about a car I'm selling, the 500,000 mile Sequoia or the low mileage Taurus wagon for example, 50% of the of the posts are saying stuff like it's overpriced or something along that line.

BITOG is "campy", yes, there are some users that obsess about buying the cheapest possible oil they can get their hands on, others? Not so much. The former is not the target market/demographic for these products.

They have been a BITOG sponsor for a while.

Dozens and dozens of threads on the company and product line.

Held an open house in August and invited everyone to visit their plant and enjoy some powerboat racing.

And you’ve “never heard of the stuff”?

😂😂😂

Actually, you came on to the thread and admitted your ignorance.

Then you questioned the value.
