Went and ordered HPL and couldn't be happier needs a ISO 100 minimum

We use HPL’s PAG ISO 32 in one of our compressors. It’s been in service for like 12k hours… the other brands we use are on a 5k hr change… and the HPL is still going.

Working on our hard-headed plant reliability team to get them on board with HPL for other opportunities…

So many just think must spend money on the over priced under performing oem oil.

Yes, it’s sad. The “main” compressor oil we use on the big ones (1250HP) is like $6500/bbl because it’s the mfr’s “officially endorsed” oil. HPL is like 60% of that cost and will run 3x longer…
Same boat 100HP variable speed Quincy and drinks oem oil it's maybe 5 years old

depending on the size of your compressor and if there are coolers on it ,at work, we used Lubrication Engineers Monolec comp/turbine oil in the iso -100 , in 25/30 hp Ingersol Rand, they ran 24/7 with unloader valves about fifty percent on average,,LE performed noticeably better than the Mobil overall, less wear and cleaner insides when we tore down for inspections and repair. I also used some Schaeffer's oils with real good results on some other compressors and vacuum pumps for back up use.
