The land of USA-made Subies!
Out tonight at IRP to support the @High Performance Lubricants teams. It was neat to see @HPL Plant Manager and David Ward intently focused on helping all the cars. Measuring tire diameters, reading data logs, and the excitement of all the drivers. Maybe David could provide a list of all the drivers and their car numbers…
Here’s some pics of the cars and their race! Enjoy!

I saw that was on Flo, but I had Dirt Vision on. There is a guy who comes to our Friday BBQs that owns a Late Model that runs WoO sometimes so I try to watch and see if it is on. They have been having all sorts of engine issues this year from contaminated fuel.

Dang. This was my first midget race, and I was talking to a guy with the team, said the cars are going about 95+ in the corners of a 5/8 mile oval, so I’d guess 135 or so down the straights. 2.4 liter Ecotecs making a little over 260rwhp with individual runner intakes makes quite a symphony (cacophony?) of noise. 112dB when they were coming down the front straight!

We go to Ventura Raceway to see the USAC midgets race at the Turkey Night Grand Prix. It is a really fun night.

Great pictures. I wanted to make this one but was scheduled for surgery the day before. Then the surgery got rescheduled which ticked me off. At races like this, as much as I enjoy the racing, I enjoy hanging around in the pits with like-minded people even more. Those cars are impressive.
