I am considering a used hot water pressure washer. The is one for sale near me but it has a cracked heating coil. Can the coil be fixed (brazed or welded) or does it need to be replaced. $800 for a new heating coil might nix the deal.
We have fixed those with Silver solder. If it can be easily acessed I'd say go for it but if it's cracked where you can't get a torch and rod in there then don't bother.
The company has a lifetime warranty for the original purchaser on the heating coil. Either the seller does not know that, he is not the original purchaser or there is more to it.
Is the normal cause due to left in unheated area for winter? If so the pump could have a problem also.
