So many have suggested using Bon Ami, and I have some coming. But I don't know how to use it for my windshield and my headlights. Can someone give me some instructions?

I believe the proper stuff to use is Bon Ami Cleaning POWDER- this is a somewhat different formulation than their regular cleanser. I got mine at a "real" hardware store.
All the reading I have seen is for the polishing cleanser, not the cleaner.

The can for the CLEANSER, commonly found at most stores, says on the label not to use it on glass.....

Yep, it's the can on the right-hand side of the photo that the above link points to. The "Original" 1886 formula is the stuff to use.
