I use armor all on my tires and my engine compartment.
Thats it. Problem being the last two bottles I got were real thick like there was something wrong with it. It was thick like motor oil. Can I just thin it down with water?

Perhaps you could return/exchange the items? If not, I don't see how water would hurt as long as it's not a lot. Water is a main ingredient of Amror All anyhow.

Just my thoughts, maybe somebody else knows better.

I got the same type of armor all from canadian tire. Its thick almost like elmers glue. It says it the new formula. I dunno kinda nice for tires but need to put on rag first before applying to trim. Get the armor all wipes a lot cleaner and less mess.

Good to know water is its main thinner. The new formula is thick like elemers glue and quite franky, maybe it is better. Better bang for your buck. I filled my sprayer 3/4 with armor all, and 1/4 water and it was still too thick.

With this new formula, as long as water won't hurt its effectivness, I guess I like it better.

Not with an engine comparment, I just load it on, and take it for a ride. Turns from a white dripping mess to a brillient shine. I use OPT protectant on all my interior stuff. Way better than armor all.

Also consider using Armor All Tire Foam on engine compartments and wheel wells. As long as its not windy out, the foam lays down a nice even gloss without using a ton of product.

Having said that you can water down pretty much any water-based dressing or protectant. More water means a little less shine but still a nice effect on whatever you're spraying it on.

I like the new formula. I never spray it directly on the material, always on to a rag first and then rub it in, so this thicker formula goes on much better than the old. If you're the spray on/wipe off kind of guy, then I could see where it would be too thick.
