I have a temperature controller set up with a fan for when it hits the high temp setting. I want to measure the time the fan is on every day. Only thing I can think of is an old fashion dial 120v clock.

The clocks are around $15

Any other ideas?

Is the fan hardwired or plug in? If it's plug in, you can buy a measurement device on Amazon for less than $20.

I found Equity by La Crosse, an old style analog 120v clock at Staples for $11.30 with free shipping.

if this is serious business look for "dataloggers". They're small cheap micro-controller data recorders that can run months at a time especially capturing simple on/off events. Some even have BT/WIFI can be monitored as part of a mesh network.

I guess what I really need is a auto stopwatch with lap counter. One purpose will be to monitor how long the AC runs, just got a new one and downsized. Same for the furnace in the winter. And cooling fans I have running. I need to know if they do the job or I need to make further improvements as the heat wave is here.
