As others have noted, there can be an extended delay when mailing VOA/UOA in the laboratory provided mailing containers. Despite the fact that I've mailed First Class with a Delivery Receipt, I've experienced delivery times of 10-14 days.
Recently, I've started mailing my oil samples in small boxes. When I address the boxes, I leave off the word "Laboratories" or "Laboratory". So, for instance, when I mail to Polaris Laboratories, I simply use "Polaris" as the first line. Since I've started doing this, my transit times have been 2 days versus 10-14 days.
