Just did the first oil change on our 2024 Carnival, and I’m starting to wonder about other future maintenance, namely the transmission. This vehicle has the 8AT, used in other H/K products. Info seems very limited on how to service these. There is indeed a drain plug on the transmission, and maybe a level plug? (Forgot to look, but 8ATs on other vehicles have them). There is also a vent plug on top that looks to be removable by a 3/8” extension. But that’s all I know. I can’t find any procedures on the leveling process other than a few anecdotal posts/videos online. I’m a ways off from needing to do this, but does anyone know the procedure for these transmissions? If need be I’m also willing to purchase access to the factory service manuals for this vehicle, but I’ve come up dry in my searches.
