How to clear Alerts that have been read?

I can mark them as read. How to delete?

Click "Show All" in the notifications dropdown. Notice there's no "delete" or "remove" option ? You can't delete them.

You can mark them as read by clicking on "mark read"

If they are all marked “read” - then you don’t get a flag or notification. So, it’s not really annoying. I get a lot of alerts. A lot. I read them, then I don’t worry about them.

Why ? The 'unread' ones will be at the top. Ignore the old ones.

I’ve had three since I responded above. Read them. Acted on one. Now, I have no alerts. All good.
