How to buy Volvo Trans fluid 02 S60 2.5L

I just posted this in Volvo Speed forum.
This will save DIY some real dollars

I couldn't stomach the $20 per quart rip off price of the Volvo Dealer in the Detroit area, so I made some phone calls. I confirmed that Mobil is producing this product and selling to trans rebuilders and Dealers of Volvo and Toyota.
The Volvo fluid for Transmissions is also known as Mobil ATF 3309, also known as Toyota IV
It's all made by Mobil and rebadged accordingly.

Volvo in Walled Lake, MI, wanted $16 per quart
Toyota in Farmington Hills, MI wanted $7.62 per quart
Boncosky Oil (Mobil distributor in Chicago (Elgin) wanted $4.10 per quart (case of 12) plus $25 shipping
Vesco Oil in Southfield, MI (Mobil distributor) wanted $3.58 per quart (case of 12) and I pick up (35 mile RT)
Vesco's number is 248-557-1600

I will do either drain and fills or bring the fluid with me to quickie oil change place for flush and pay for his labor and machine. Beats the $265 charge from Volvo Dealer for a flush.

AW50 tranny is no mystery. Yeah that delear sounds like a rip.

I have plenty of happy customers with Amsoil ATF in their FWD Volvo automatics.

That particular Aisin Warner transmission uses Aisin Warner T-IV fluid, which is also sold under the Toyota T-IV ATF label. One can buy Toyota T-IV for $4-$5/qt at any Toyota Dealership.

AV lubricants if you can't find it locally for a decent price. Shipping makes it high, but still maybe cheaper than a dealer.
