how safe/ effective Live onecare

How safe is it to down load and run the Windows live care and have it scan my computer for malware etc.
Is it effective and can it be uninstalled.

I am honestly not sure I'd trust a security product from the morons who make the insecure product that needs the security products in the first place.

I've run Onecare several times with no problems, but safe/effective really hard to say. Onecare did clean/repair a lot of stuff first time I ran it.

I say thumbs down. There are other very good free programs i would use instead.

AV: Antivir, Avast or AVG
AS: SUPERantispyware or Malwarebytes
Optimzers: Iobit Advanced Windowscare, WINASO or Ccleaner
Firewall: Pctools Personal firewall
Other: PCtools Threatfire
