How often to get up to operating temp?

My 335 takes about 15 minutes for the oil to get past 170F. It spends 80% of its run time in the winter with cold oil. I figure if I change it in November and March the worst of it will be taken care of. Maybe once more in July just to be sure

Only problem with that is oil usage - are Volts drinking oil like Prii do?

I'm an advocate of a weekly long drive of at least 20 miles for all the cars in my care.

Just about every time I drive for the coolant temp.

The transmission temp not always, depends on what I am doing.
