Recently totaled my 2007 CR-V and now I own a 2014 Pathfinder and I am still learning.
I've had some people tell me I should change it every 3,750 if conventional / 5,000 if synthetic, I've also heard 5,000 regardless, and I've also heard some people running 10,000 with no problems.
Coming from owning a Honda that specified 10K OCIs I find 3,750 or even 5,000 to be a super short interval and quite wasteful of potentially still-good oil.
If it has any influence on what OCI I should use, here is some information.
I drive daily to work or class, both are about a 15 minute trip from my house so I guess it's considered a short-trip.
About once a month I drive from Columbus to Cleveland for family stuff.
I'm also usually hauling significant weight, if my 2x 15" subwoofer box and amplifiers aren't in the trunk, then my car is loaded down with scrap to take to the recycler. However, I do not, and never plan to, tow anything given this has a CVT.
Unless recommended otherwise I'll stick with 5,000 mile OCIs, what do you guys think is best for my specific case? Thanks.
