Moly is just one additive in the oil.I don't think it's use fully makes or brakes an oil since there are so many other factors to consider.But it seems to be pretty nice thing to have in an oil though.

One additive supplier suggests >, = 400 ppm in fully formulated oils, based on various ASTM testing for loads and wear.

This amount is not needed if you have other AW/EP/FM adds that share the AW/EP/FM functions.

Remember, an oil is base+adds and no one add, by itself, can enhance the oil.
