I bought a 5 gallon can of on road diesel one day last week for $1.879 at a Murphy station. There's a truck stop about 1/2 mile from my house their on road is $2.049 and off road is $1.949. There's about $ .40 a gallon tax on fuel so they're lining their pockets by only giving a $ .10 discount. I haven't priced kerosene lately but in years past kerosene has been about $1. a gallon more than diesel, so, probably around $3.00 a gallon. I use a Monitor vented kerosene heater to heat my home but, since diesel is ULS now I use it instead of kerosene. I've been using diesel for the past 4-5 years with no problem. Its a win win, diesel is about $1. a gallon cheaper and has more BTU per gallon.
